    Modern observations

Discovered during excavations led by D. Rabovyanov at Veliko Tarnovo, Trapezitsa, South sector, square CLVII-12, in September 2010. The layer where the seal was found is later though, from the middle and second half of the 14th c.

    Commentary

Following the arrangement of letters within the available space, as well as their alignment, it becomes clear that between the name, which ends in the second row, and the title, which probably begins in the third row, there is enough space for two letters (or more, if there is a ligature). A logical guess would be the article τοῦ.
